SPRING:
Sheffield for
Project for
Refugee
INtegration &
Growth

SPRING is a collaboration of six organisations helping refugees settle into the local community.

We offer help to refugees when they receive “leave to remain” and need support accessing housing, benefits and immigration advice. We also help with practical issues such as opening a bank account and registering with a GP.

Once these urgent needs have been addressed, we support individuals with their longer term integration, such as learning English, routes into volunteering, education, training, and finding a job.

We can provide limited support for those who’ve experienced trauma and also signpost to a variety of activities supporting mental and physical wellbeing across Sheffield.

How to refer to SPRING

If you would like to make a referral to SPRING, please follow those steps:

Once we receive the referral, we will contact the individual. Please note that our services are very busy, so let us know if you feel there is an urgent need for support.

Our support is designed to be flexible, delivered remotely via phone, video, and in-person, depending on the unique circumstances of each individual.

The Sanctuary is open, and walk-in support is available Monday-Thursday, 10am – 4pm.

Every individual will be warmly welcomed at The Sanctuary, where they strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment. We will go through a simple assessment form to identify their short and long term needs, as well as understand how we can help them. We then support the individual to engage with our partner services, as appropriate.

If you have any questions, you can reach us on
